My name is Sarah Romero and I’ve been teaching at McKinley since 2011. I taught second grade for 2 years before joining the third grade team where I’ve been ever since. In addition to teaching third grade, I’ve served as the third grade team lead as well as McKinley’s math lead. I grew up in the suburbs of Boston and am a New England girl at heart (e.g., Patriots football, lobster rolls, and Cape Cod). I graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in Business Economics. After Brown, I worked in finance, first as an investment banker on Wall Street, then as an investor relations specialist here in the D.C. metro area. I’m a career switcher, so when I decided to change my focus to teaching, I went back to get my M.Ed. from Marymount University. When I’m not teaching, you can find me enjoying good food and music with friends and family.
